Meet the Owner Behind Smooth Transitions of Lithonia
Trisa Thompson
Owner Operator
I've spent the last 4 years providing white-glove customer service to companies using and implementing new software. I am excited to bring that level of deep customer satisfaction to my clients in the move management space. Move management resonates deeply with me; within the last 2 years I've had to help with the remediation of my parents' home after my Dad passed away. The process of discarding, passing down and donating items my parents accumulated over the last 30 years took 2 years. This is why I do it. Taking such an arduous task off of someone else's plate is the definition of customer success!
[To whom much is given, much is expected. This is a driving force behind my continuous desire to provide support for those in need. Volunteering has been a consistent part of my life, and something I am instilling in my daughter as well. One of my goals with Smooth Transitions is to support the needs that are aligned with the needs of the community I serve. I have been given a lot in this life and I am grateful.]

Smooth Transitions of Lithonia is owned and operated by Trisa Belfast, who brings extensive corporate experience in business development, marketing, software administration, and customer success to the move management industry. After years of delivering white-glove service to companies implementing new technology, she set out to bring that same standard of care and attention directly to families.
Her commitment to this work is deeply personal. Over the course of two years, Trisa helped remediate her parents’ home after her father passed away—sorting, donating, passing down, and letting go of three decades of belongings. That experience showed her firsthand how overwhelming a later-life move or estate transition can be, and how much relief comes from having a trusted professional take that weight off a family’s shoulders.
Guided by a belief that “to whom much is given, much is expected,” Trisa has made service and volunteering a constant in her life—values she is passing on to her daughter. One of her goals with Smooth Transitions is to support the specific needs of the Lithonia and greater Atlanta community she serves.
